Introducing MRSC's New Public Works Consultant

Introducing MRSC

Does your job involve public works, procurement, and/or contracting? Then we could be working together soon!

Hi, I’m Judy Isaac, Public Works Consultant for MRSC. I joined MRSC in June 2017, and I’m looking forward to reviewing issues head on with you so they don’t transform into difficult situations. It will be my goal to proactively address your concerns and to help solve problems.

I understand what you’re up against and I’m here to help. Since I moved to the Seattle area in 1995, I’ve primarily worked in public procurement. I've also used MRSC services while employed in local government agencies so I know the value of these resources! Helping you become better informed and more effective are my top priorities as the new Public Works Consultant.

My background lends itself to these intentions, as my job history includes:

  • Experience working in the private and public sectors
  • 5 years as Purchasing Manager at KCDA Purchasing Cooperative
  • 12 years working in procurement positions with the Cities of Shoreline and Redmond, and with the Lake Washington School District

I’m a native of Wisconsin, and I’ve lived in the northeast, southwest, and Asia before moving to the Seattle area.  I moved here to be near family and have since come to love the temperate climate and the accessibility to so many recreational and cultural resources.

I have two sons and a daughter. Upon graduating from Western Washington University my daughter found employment in a medical clinic. My middle son recently graduated from the UW with an engineering degree and is in the process of looking for work. My oldest son is an IT guy by day and a Harley guy on the weekend. I am extremely proud of all three of my kids.

I am interested in personal healthcare and well-being, and I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2002. In my free time I enjoy social dancing, home projects, outdoor activities, and I find it hard to resist a good game night.

Let’s talk soon about what you need and how I can help. Also, keep an eye out for my future blog posts, and purchasing and contracting webinars and trainings.  Feel free to complete a research request at Ask MRSC, call me at 206-625-1300 x110, or contact me via email at
