Introduction to FHWA's New Small Town and Rural Street Design Guide

This webinar introduced attendees to the Small Town and Rural Design Guide (STAR Guide), a Federal Highway Administration publication. The STAR Guide is a free resource and the first of its kind to focus exclusively on rural street design and the unique active transportation challenges and opportunities outside of urban areas.

It is structured as a menu of facility options to create multimodal networks that encourage walking and biking. This webinar reviewed the Guide as well as an interactive website that can serve as a quick reference tool
