Presented by Dwight Dively, Director of King County’s Office of Performance, Strategy, and Budget and one of the foremost experts on Washington State’s property tax, this webinar will provide an overview of the complex issue of property tax, including types of tax limits, types of tax levies and rates, and calculating the property tax levy.  While the content will be basic in nature, there will be a Q&A period for attendees to pose more complex questions.

About the Presenters

Dwight Dively is the Director of King County’s Office of Performance, Strategy, and Budget. He previously served as director of finance for the City of Seattle where he was responsible for managing the 330-person Department of Finance, providing financial management services such as budgeting, licensing, tax collection, treasury services, accounting services, risk management, debt management, contracting, purchasing, and business technology. He also served as a senior advisor on Mayor Greg Nickels cabinet and on numerous city and regional policy committees, as well as an affiliate professor with the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington.

Tracy Burrows is the Executive Director of MRSC. Tracy joined MRSC as the Executive Director in September 2011. She has over 20 years of local government and non-profit experience, specializing in growth management, transportation, and general city management issues.
