Workshop Overview
This full-day workshop will provide an in-depth review of the Public Records Act (PRA), starting with the PRA basics and then delving into more advanced PRA issues. MRSC is bringing this popular workshop to six different locations across Washington State in February and March 2019. Attendees can earn CLE or WAPRO certification/recertification requirements, and this curriculum meets Open Government Training Act requirements for public officials.
Educational Objectives
This training will help your local government stay in compliance with the increasingly demanding world of public records requests and records retention by providing practical tips, a review of recent PRA case law, a look at the “Top Ten” PRA challenges local governments are currently experiencing, and a discussion about how technology can help and hinder records retention and production.
