Upcoming Workshops

Coronavirus Statement

All MRSC in-person workshops are currently cancelled. For online trainings, please check our Upcoming Webinars.

MRSC conducts a number of in-person training events throughout Washington State on key topics such as public records, procurement, and finance. Below is the list of all currently planned workshops; dates and locations will be announced as soon as they are available.

Our in-person workshops have limited capacity and typically fill up quickly, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible. All workshops cost $140 per attendee unless otherwise noted. Scholarships are available to ensure that all those who want to attend valuable trainings can do so.

MRSC also provides other training opportunities, including live webinars, on-demand webinars, and Public Records/Open Public Meetings e-learning courses for city elected officials. Learn about the latest training opportunities and local government news by signing up for our e-newsletters.

Public Records Act Basics & More Workshops

In lieu of our in-person workshops, MRSC is conducting webinars and virtual workshops on the Public Records Act. To learn about these upcoming trainings, see our Upcoming Webinars page. To view recordings of previous PRA webinars, visit our On-Demand Webinars page.

Back by popular demand, we are offering a series of Public Records Act (PRA) workshops. These full-day workshops provide an in-depth review of the PRA, starting with the basics and then delving into more advanced PRA issues.

Annual Financial Reporting Webinar Series

In lieu of our in-person workshops, MRSC is offering a series of virtual webinars in March 2022 on the annual financial reports. To learn about this upcoming training, see our Upcoming Webinars page.

This 4-day webinar series is designed for cash-basis cities, counties, and special purpose districts to help them in preparing their annual financial reports required by state law.
