Training

MRSC provides relevant and timely training on issues of interest to local governments, such as ethics, public records, open government, governance, purchasing and contracting, customer service and public finance. This training is provided through webinars and regional in-person trainings that we produce. MRSC staff are also frequent speakers at local government conferences.

Scholarships are available to ensure that all those who want to attend valuable trainings can do so.

PRA and OPMA E-Learning for City/Town Elected Officials

MRSC partners with the Association of Washington Cities (AWC) to produce two free e-learning courses for city and town councilmembers and mayors, one dealing with the Public Records Act (PRA) and the other with the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA). These courses can help fulfill the Open Government Trainings Act requirements. After completing each training, make sure to download your certificate of completion for documentation purposes.
