Upcoming Workshops

MRSC conducts a number of in-person training events throughout Washington State on key topics such as public records, procurement, and finance. Below is the list of all currently planned workshops; dates and locations will be announced as soon as they are available.

Our in-person workshops have limited capacity and typically fill up quickly, so we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible. All workshops cost $125 per attendee unless otherwise noted. Scholarships are available to ensure that all those who want to attend valuable trainings can do so.

MRSC also provides other training opportunities, including live and archived webinars and Public Records/Open Public Meetings e-learning courses for city elected officials. Learn about the latest training opportunities and local government news by signing up for our In Focus: Local Government e-newsletter.

Purchasing and Contracting Essentials Workshops

These all-day workshops, held periodically throughout the year, focus on purchasing in the morning and public works contracting in the afternoon. Each workshop will review statutory requirements, recent legislative changes, and how to align those requirements with the specific needs of your agency.

Our 2019 workshop offerings have concluded, but we anticipate offering these courses again beginning in spring 2020.

Public Records Act Training

These full-day workshops provide an in-depth review of the Public Records Act (PRA), starting with the PRA basics and then delving into more advanced PRA issues. We will be offering this training again in Spring 2020. See the preliminary dates below; more dates and details will be announced as they become available.
