Ballot Measure Text: Proposition No. 1 Authorizing the Creation of a Metropolitan Park District to be known as the Stevenson Community Pool District. The Skamania County Board of County Commissioners adopted resolution 2020-38 and the Stevenson City Council adopted resolution 2020-373 concerning a proposition to form a metropolitan park district. If approved, this proposition would create the Stevenson Pool District pursuant to RCW 35.61, with boundaries as provided in the City and County resolutions. The district shall have statutory powers, excluding eminent domain, but including, among others, to levy annually a general tax on all property in the district not to exceed $0.50 per $1000 of assessed valuation, for the operation and maintenance of the Stevenson pool, and shall be governed by a five-member board elected at large.
